Acupuncture
A comprehensive session including acupuncture and the potential for adjuntive techniques and/or herbal formulation.
Sterile, single-use filiform needles are used. These needles are thin, some roughly the size of a human hair. They are placed around the body based on the individual TCM diagnosis. For patients who are sensitive or nervous about needles, there are options available.
Adjunctive techniques may include tuina, cupping, gua sha, heat therapy, herbal formulation or moxibustion. TCM dietary, movement, and lifestyle adaptations are likely to be discussed as daily habits have a large impact on health.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
These appointments focus soley on Chinese Herbal Medicine. Initial appointments must be in person, but followups can be in-person or via telehealth for patients in the State of Maine.
Herbal formulation is a wonderful counterpart to acupuncture because it continues treatment on a daily basis. It can be utilized as a standalone treatment or integrated with acupuncture. It is particularly useful when we are trying to build Qi and Blood.
We offer custom formulation in both raw herbs and granules.
Please note, the cost of herbs is not included in treatment pricing.
